I wasn't even scheduled to shoot Matt & Brooklyn's engagement session this day, but with the snowy weather I had to cancel my out of town sessions. This gave us the perfect opportunity to capture their winter engagement session the best way possible, in the snow!
Matt and Brooklyn were troopers through the snow, braving the elements to really capture some amazing images. A little coffee and Bailey's definitely helped things along a bit I think :) .
We hiked the red path on the Hanna Trail in Trenton. The longer trail gave us the opportunity to chat and also warm up between shots. One portion of the conversation that sticks in my mind is the shared appreciation for the imperfect moments in life that upon reflection are some of our most treasured memories. Matt shared the story of their proposal, which was supposed to be a romantic boat trip on the Bay of Quinte. It resulted in a broken down boat and a tow home to waiting friends and family. The story was told with a smile, which I think just reinforces my thought that sometimes its the imperfect moments in life that allow us to look back and realize the things that really matter.
